Rock Climb and Hike Adventure

Never tried rock climbing before? Maybe you have climbed a few times in a gym and want to try it outdoors? Discover what outdoor rock climbing on St. Thomas is all about on this 3 hour tour designed for the beginning rock climber. No climbing experience is necessary (indoor or outdoors).

This adventure is perfect for those looking for their first climbing experience This fun and safe St. Thomas adventure allows you to climb two beginner outdoor rock climbing routes with stunning views!  Pick up and drop off from your cruise ship port or hotel is included. 

Patient instructors will provide instruction for safely climbing with a top rope.  You will receive plenty of coaching and assistance so that you feel completely comfortable and confident. No partner or experience is needed for this beginner climb. With a maximum of six people in the small group, your guide has time to offer customized attention to each participant (larger groups available upon request).

Hiking on St. Thomas


 Start with a short hike surrounded by native plants and wildlife.  At the end of the path, you will reach a beautiful beach with large rocks. Climb along the beach and through a small cave to reach the climbing routes. We’ll begin with a short introduction to climbing and safety that includes teaching basic commands. Your patient guide will remove all of the guesswork for you and ensure your peace of mind. Then we’ll spend the remainder of our time climbing!

Physical condition: Participants must be physically active, have good endurance, good balance and coordination, be able to walk and climb over uneven terrain and be able to move at a moderate pace.

Medical conditions: You cannot participate if you are aqua-phobic, claustrophobic (we climb through a small cave), acro-phobic (fear of heights), suffer cardiac condition, are subject to epileptic seizures, have a weakness or medical problems with your legs or arms, are hearing impaired or require hearing aids, are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Size restrictions: Maximum head circumference: 24 inches. Maximum waist circumferential: 42 inches. Maximum thigh circumference: 26 inches. Climbing shoes are provided in following standard sizes only: Men's 6-13.5 and Women's 5-11. If you are not within these sizes or need to wear a shoe for an extra wide foot, please wear your own shoes for climbing. We suggest either a shoe made for climbing or a low profile sneaker so they are good for slotting into footholds on the rock (bulky shoes are not recommended).
